Even today, the DB AG cannot do without the proven large diesel locomotives of Class 232 and uses them for heavy duty freight transport mainly on non-electrified lines. After service in cross-border traffic to the Netherlands, the “Ludmilla” 232 109-9 from Railion Deutschland is again based in Halle, but still has its different livery.
