Based on the Talent series 4124, built for the ÖBB, the Hungarian state railway MAV also ordered ten four-unit electrically driven trains. The vehicles have train protection systems for Hungary and Austria and can be used both under 15kV (Austria) and 25 kV (Hungary). The vehicles are very popular and are used today on the Vienna - Györ route. After passenger traffic in Hungary was outsourced to a separate company, similar to the railway reform in Germany, the operator of the vehicles is known today by the name „MAV-Start“.
