Flat Car DRG, with freight

For transporting track material such as ballast and gravel, the K.W.St.E. bought a total of 75 flat cars with low side walls and two end platforms. Track construction was at that time a labour-intensive matter. For example, the cars were unloaded by hand at their place of use. The cars had a very long service life and therefore a large number of them so were allocated by the DRG as X-cars to the “Erfurt” grouping.
