The last 2-axle wooden coaches which the DB used for regular passenger services were Bid 21s. The last coach wasn’t taken out of service until 1964, shortly before the UIC numbering scheme was introduced. Many of them remained in use as construction train cars. Some went to museum railways where they can still be found today in various states of preservation.
