Mixed passenger and post coaches were often used on secondary lines where it wasn’t worth using an entire post coach. The DB didn’t purchase any more new coaches of this type and it had to meet requirements with pre-war coaches. This is the reason why the earlier CPostid 21 remained in service for some years to come. The seating compartment was upgraded to second class and the coaches were operated with the designation BPostid 21.
