Post-/Passenger Coach CPostid 21 DRG

The Reichsbahn’s repair workshop in Karlsruhe integrated post compartments in 5 Cid 21-type coaches in 1930. These CPostid 21 coaches were obviously a success because another 30 coaches were converted in 1934. Half of the coach was sectioned off and fitted with the necessary post coach equipment. The front doors were removed on the post coach side because passengers and rail personnel were not permitted to walk through the post coach or post compartments.
