Info about the original

Following the models 130 (maximum speed 140 km/h) and 131 (100 km/h), the DB put the 132 model (120 km/h) into service after 1974 with the electric heating system. Thanks to its configuration, the DR had found its optimum machine. This is why the DR acquired 709 locomotives from the factory in Woroschilowgrad. After a few initial teething problems, the technical service finally had a reliable and multifunctional machine.
