BRAWA Sets a New Course

In the coming years, we will be focusing on what makes BRAWA special: a high-quality, carefully selected product line presented to you with a deep attention to detail and a passion for the world of model railroads.

Having developed an extensive range of attractive models over the past few years, we now want to give our existing product range and readily available models the attention they deserve. We have therefore made a conscious decision not to introduce any new models in 2027. In the last five years alone, we have launched over 30 new moulds for models — each with its own exciting story.

The development and production of new locomotive and waggon models is both challenging and time-consuming. It is preceded by extensive research on original vehicles as well as in museums and archives. This is followed by elaborate CAD designs, tooling and prototype construction, as well as testing and optimization, until the technology, running characteristics, and details are fully refined. Only then does series production begin, where a great deal is still carefully done by hand.

Against this background, introducing a broad range of new models every year is a major  undertaking for us as a small, independent family-owned company – particularly given the high quality standards we set for ourselves and remain firmly committed to.

We have become increasingly sceptical of the industry‘s constant drive to announce new products. Strategically, this is no longer the direction we wish to pursue. The continuous focus on new releases does not do justice to the high-quality BRAWA models that are already part of our range and available for purchase. For us, the message is clear: Less is more!

Instead of announcing as many new products as possible, we will focus on a more selective approach in the future: carefully chosen models offered in limited editions or as exclusive special series. BRAWA will develop and manufacture new products more selectively, allowing more time and attention for quality and for the stories behind each individual model.

To mark the beginning of this new direction, we invite you to discover numerous hidden treasures within our current product range – some of which may still be unfamiliar even to our most dedicated fans. These include locomotive and rolling stock models of which only a few units remain and which will not be produced again in their current form.

We know that many of you eagerly anticipate our new releases every year. This makes it all the more important for us to openly explain the direction we are taking for the future.
